Some glimpses from World Stroke Day 2024.
“This year, Neuro Hospital collaborated with the Upendra Devkota Foundation to bring free stroke risk screenings and consultations to the heart of Kathmandu in Basantpur Durbar Square.

To highlight this year’s theme: #GreaterThanStroke, #BeActive, the event kicked off with a rally at Basantapur Durbar Square, winding through New Road Gate. This was followed by a full day of free health screenings for stroke risk factors and vitals. Every participant had the chance to meet with a doctor for a consultation after the screening. Additionally, “A Healthy Lifestyle” stall displayed the suggested volume and types of food for stroke prevention.
We were honoured to have Miss Nepal World 2024, Ms Ashma Kumari KC, as our special guest to inaugurate the screening services with our founder, Prof. Dr. Madhu Dixit Devkota.

Our heartfelt gratitude goes out to the Kathmandu Metropolitan City for their invaluable collaboration, the Nepal Police for ensuring smooth traffic flow, and the entire Neuro Hospital team—security, housekeeping, management, nurses, and doctors—who made this event a remarkable success.
Together, let’s continue to build a healthier, stroke-aware Nepal!”
