In January 2023, the Upendra Devkota Foundation hosted our first event; a health camp in Gorkha, echoing Upendra’s beginnings. Begining our story where his story began. Our services also included free physiotherapy, nursing assistance as well as free medication.

Our health camp in Chitwan, Chanauli, in collaboration with the Red Cross Society, offered 9 medical specialty services including:

The Inception and Evolution of Neurosciences in Nepal
NeuroCon, Nepal’s inaugural international scientific symposium, held on June 18th, 2023. The event was held commemorating Prof. Upendra Devkota’s legacy on his 5th death anniversary. The event, organized by UDF, brought together international delegates to bridge gaps and the most recently discovered knowledge on neurology, neurointervention, neurosurgery, neuro-physiotherapy, and neuro-nursing, featuring practical skill sessions and fostering global collaboration in advancing neurocare.
Unilateral bi-portal endoscopy training
Mr. Malcolm Pestonji of Golden Park Hospital, Mumbai, led a capacity-building session on endoscopy surgery in neurosurgery, simplifying complex techniques for all attendees, fostering enhanced understanding and skill development.
Stroke awareness March
On World Stroke Day, we amplified awareness with a Hospital Stroke Awareness March followed by an informative session, and free screening for stroke risk factors. Through community engagement, we’re dedicated to advancing stroke prevention for a healthier tomorrow.
Blood Drive
Marking a cherished tradition, Upendra Devkota Foundation collaborates with the Red Cross every April 13th for our annual blood drive. Join us in celebrating this impactful tradition, ensuring a steady supply of blood while fostering a culture of giving back to our community.
